A 1988 Tinker Hatfield Air Jordan 3 sketch comes off the page and into reality for the first time ever. This Tinker edition shows off Hatfield's unique idea to utilize a Nike swoosh on the lateral profile, with a stitched NIKE logo on the medial side. These details were removed in the final Air Jordan 3 design in favor of a more clean look. Launched on the designer's birthday in 2018, Tinker's signature can be found stitched on the inside of the tongue as well as on the box top and hang tag.

In celebration of Michael Jordan's iconic launch from the free throw line thirty years ago during the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest, Jordan Brand released the Air Jordan 3 Retro NRG 'Free Throw Line.' The sneaker comes dressed in white with Cement Grey accents on the toe box and heel and Fire Red detailing on the eyelets and on the tongue. The model also boasts a translucent sole with a red stripe, exactly where MJ took off from the line. Other details include "3:51" lettering on the back pull tab to remember the time Jordan took flight, and "147" on the tongue as a nod to his final score.

Unlike most Chinese sneakers, this one uses a calm earth tone in the color scheme! The body of the shoe is made of leather with excellent texture, quilting and other crafts, showing the luxury specifications. The seal character "Ling" on the side of the shoe is affixed with cloth to highlight the theme, while there are hidden details in the middle of the shoe. There is a movable design of the leather label, open you can see the gilt tiger inscription, very Chinese charm. The tongue is made of rough fabric, combining the Flying Man Logo with tiger characters and designs to highlight the theme of the Year of the Tiger. The most interesting thing is the heel, which continues the leather carving technique that FZBB is good at, showing the three-dimensional pattern and the word "壬寅".

The Air Jordan 3 Retro 'Washington Wizards' showcases a familiar design based on a PE colorway that Michael Jordan wore during his time in D.C. Featuring color blocking reminiscent of the OG 'True Blue' edition from 1988, the classic silhouette makes use of a white tumbled leather upper with grey elephant-print overlays at the toe and heel. Contrasting blue accents appear on the interior lining, molded eyelets, and the raised Jumpman logo that decorates the heel tab. A second Jumpman graces the tongue in copper-colored embroidery, matching the circular eyelets that dot the forefoot. The mid-top is mounted on a two-tone polyurethane midsole, equipped with a visible Air-sole heel unit and supported by a durable grey rubber outsole.

Made in collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara's influential design label, the Fragment Design x Air Jordan 3 Retro SP delivers a minimalist take on the classic silhouette. The AJ3 was the first of numerous Air Jordans designed by Tinker Hatfield and the debut of the Jumpman logo on the tongue. This 'Knicks Rivals' retro, released in September 2019, stays true to the original silhouette with a white tumbled leather upper, elephant print on the toe cap and heel, Old Royal and University Orange accents, and a visible Nike Air unit.

This iteration of the Air Jordan 3 commemorates the 1988 Olympics in Seoul. Taking inspiration from the South Korean flag, the shoe features black, red, and blue accents on the inner lining and collar. The white upper, constructed from tumbled leather, includes the Jordan 3's signature elephant print panels. Korean characters appear on the inside of each tongue: '서울' (Seoul) on one side; the 1988 games motto, '화합과 전진' (Harmony and Progress) on the other.

Fragment Design and Jordan Brand collaborated in 2014, resulting in a clean and classic Air Jordan 1. In April 2019, Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara quietly unveiled another Jordan retro on-foot at the Nike Hong Kong Department retail location. A previously unseen Air Jordan 3 Retro, the upper features white tumbled leather with blue details, including the midsole, Jumpman logo and NIKE AIR branding on the heel. Smooth black leather replaces the elephant print, with a Fragment logo debossed on the lateral heel. Fujiwara has stated this is only an unreleased sample, with no plans for this Air Jordan 3 to release.
