The Air Jordan 3 Retro 'Oregon Ducks' features an all-white leather upper with the iconic elephant print along the mudguard and heel, and black accents on the collar, heel counter, and eyestay. A 1988 Tinker Hatfield Air Jordan 3 sketch comes off the page and into reality for the first time ever. This Tinker edition shows off Hatfield's unique idea to utilize a Nike swoosh on the lateral profile, with a stitched NIKE logo on the medial side. These details were removed in the final Air Jordan 3 design in favor of a more clean look. Launched on the designer's birthday in 2018, Tinker's signature can be found stitched on the inside of the tongue as well as on the box top and hang tag.

In celebration of Michael Jordan‘s iconic launch from the free throw line thirty years ago during the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest, Jordan Brand released the Air Jordan 3 Retro NRG 'Free Throw Line.' The sneaker comes dressed in white with Cement Grey accents on the toe box and heel and Fire Red detailing on the eyelets and on the tongue. The model also boasts a translucent sole with a red stripe, exactly where MJ took off from the line. Other details include "3:51" lettering on the back pull tab to remember the time Jordan took flight, and "147" on the tongue as a nod to his final score.

Fragment Design and Jordan Brand collaborated in 2014, resulting in a clean and classic Air Jordan 1. In April 2019, Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara quietly unveiled another Jordan retro on-foot at the Nike Hong Kong Department retail location. A previously unseen Air Jordan 3 Retro, the upper features white tumbled leather with blue details, including the midsole, Jumpman logo and NIKE AIR branding on the heel. Smooth black leather replaces the elephant print, with a Fragment logo debossed on the lateral heel. Fujiwara has stated this is only an unreleased sample, with no plans for this Air Jordan 3 to release.
