This pair is taken from a capsule dubbed 'Tent and Trail,' featuring colors and materials inspired by outdoor gear from the '80s and '90s. The mid-top carries an upper built with a blend of bright purple mesh and mustard yellow suede. Vibrant pops of turquoise land on the lower molded eyelets and heel tab, marked with Nike Air branding in a lavender hue. A stitched fold-down tongue, yellow 'UN/LA' tag and translucent TPU wings are carried over from the 2020 release. The Air Jordan 4 Retro NRG 'Raptors' shares its name with an OG colorway of the Air Jordan 7, and both feature nubuck construction and a black, red and purple palette. The 4 differs from the 7 by ditching the charcoal grey paneling of the 1992 release while also adding a speckled midsole. But it's not as if the 'Raptors' name is exactly canonical—the Toronto Raptors franchise didn't exist before 1995.
