Released in May 2019, the uniquely designed silhouette is inspired by one of Lorenzo’s favorite Nike designs, the Air Raid. The Air Fear of God 1 'Black' is one of the inaugural colorways of the performance basketball shoe made in collaboration between Nike and Jerry Lorenzo's Fear of God. The fashion-forward silhouette uses a brand new last made expressly for the specific model, topped with a minimalist black leather upper with a TPU cage inspired by the Huarache Light. While this white-on-white colorway bears the design DNA of Bruce Kilgore's original 1982 creation, the premium build is a product of Louis Vuitton craftsmanship. Assembled in Italy, the low-top features a debossed Monogram pattern throughout the white calf leather upper. Louis Vuitton branding appears on the sneaker's back tabs and off-center tongue tags, while Abloh's signature Helvetica text is stamped in gold lettering across the medial side.
