A 1988 Tinker Hatfield Air Jordan 3 sketch comes off the page and into reality for the first time ever. This Tinker edition shows off Hatfield's unique idea to utilize a Nike swoosh on the lateral profile, with a stitched NIKE logo on the medial side. These details were removed in the final Air Jordan 3 design in favor of a more clean look. Launched on the designer's birthday in 2018, Tinker's signature can be found stitched on the inside of the tongue as well as on the box top and hang tag.

The Air Jordan 3 Retro 'Knicks Rivals' boasts a colorway inspired by a team Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls had to hurdle for Eastern Conference dominance, the New York Knicks. The AJ3 was the first of numerous Air Jordans designed by Tinker Hatfield and the debut of the Jumpman logo on the tongue. This 'Knicks Rivals' retro, released in September 2019, stays true to the original silhouette with a white tumbled leather upper, elephant print on the toe cap and heel, Old Royal and University Orange accents, and a visible Nike Air unit.

Sport Royal accents grace the eyelets, midsole, and embossed Jumpman heel branding, while contrasting pops of Fire Red stand out on the rear midsole segment and the Jumpman logo on the tongue, with the right one distinguished by Michael Jordan's signature. The signature Jordan elephant print is rendered in light grey on the leather overlays at the toe and heel.

Fresh off his summer 2018 tour, the Air Jordan 3 gets the Justin Timberlake treatment with a 'Bio Beige' version. It sports a tan soft suede upper, blacked-out elephant print overlays, and Nike Air logos at the heels. Aggressive text accents include phrases like "HIGHER" on the ankle as well as "FAME IS A LIE" and "STRESS IS CRUEL" on the insoles.

Prominently displayed on Justin Timberlake's feet during the Super Bowl LII Halftime show, the Air Jordan 3 Retro JTH NRG takes the iconic original White/Cement colorway and blends it with the newly created Tinker Hatfield edition based on one of his original sketches. The updated Air Jordan 3 features a Swoosh on the lateral side and 'NIKE' printed on the medial collar. Justin Timberlake's signature is embroidered on the inside of the tongue. Released as a surprise drop on the Nike SNKRS app when the halftime show started, these would see more launches later during Timberlake's world tour.

In celebration of Michael Jordan's iconic launch from the free throw line thirty years ago during the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest, Jordan Brand released the Air Jordan 3 Retro NRG 'Free Throw Line.' The sneaker comes dressed in white with Cement Grey accents on the toe box and heel and Fire Red detailing on the eyelets and on the tongue. The model also boasts a translucent sole with a red stripe, exactly where MJ took off from the line. Other details include "3:51" lettering on the back pull tab to remember the time Jordan took flight, and "147" on the tongue as a nod to his final score.
