Each pair is handmade and constructed using premium leather and suede. The custom takes its cues from KAWS' existing Jordan Brand collaboration, replicating the embossed suede look along the gray mudguard and toe box. A white leather base is complemented by button detailing and a KAWS companion logo on the heel in place of the traditional "Nike Air" text. The tongue features KAWS' "XX" eye logo.

In April 2019, Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara quietly unveiled another Jordan retro on-foot at the Nike Hong Kong Department retail location. A previously unseen Air Jordan 3 Retro, the upper features white tumbled leather with blue details, including the midsole, Jumpman logo and NIKE AIR branding on the heel. Smooth black leather replaces the elephant print, with a Fragment logo debossed on the lateral heel.

Made in collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara's influential design label, the Fragment Design x Air Jordan 3 Retro SP delivers a minimalist take on the classic silhouette. The sneaker's tumbled white leather upper is offset by a black leather mudguard and matching black leather overlays at the toe and heel. The latter is stamped with Fragment's double lightning bolt logo — an insignia that's repeated appearance on the back heel, visible beneath a translucent overlay with embossed Jumpman branding.
