Made in collaboration with the Bay Area skate shop, the Atlas x Nike Dunk High SB 'Lost at Sea' references a maritime mishap from 1990, when a freighter ship headed to Los Angeles from South Korea lost its cargo during a storm. The goods, including over 61,000 pairs of Nikes, would eventually wash up on various coastlines, including the Air Flight 90 in the San Francisco Bay. That shoe serves as the design inspiration for this collaboration, featuring an off-white cracked leather upper with contrasting blue accents and a pre-yellowed midsole. Atlas branding on the tongue mimics Nike's retro Flight logo.

On the lateral quarter panel, a small jewel Swoosh is joined by an embroidered and partially scrambled 'Stingwater' wordmark. Reverse 'Nike' branding adorns the heel tab, while the tongue features a zippered stash pocket and a woven interior tag inscribed with 'Free Your Mind' in the same inverted lettering. Nike SB released the 'What The Dunk?' as part of the campaign for "Nothing But the Truth", their very first feature length skate film featuring the Nike SB Team Riders. Created from 31 different Nike SB Dunks, each part of the 'What The Dunk?' is taken directly from those 31 Dunks, including panels, shoelaces, tongues, outsoles and stitching. Out of 31 Dunks, only one was unattainable to consumers. The neon green lining on the left shoe is from the infamous 'eBay Dunk', where it was a 1 of 1. The 'What The…' concept has been adopted on a few different shoes, but the Nike SB Dunk started it all.
