Celebrating its 75th birthday this year, the National Basketball Association (NBA) has delighted fans the world over for over seven decades. It's also been the birthplace of countless footwear icons from the Chuck Taylor to the Air Jordan 1. Amongst the A-list of hardwood-turned-streetwear sneakers is the humble Nike Dunk, and it, along with the NBA, will be celebrating the Association's diamond anniversary with a handful of special team-themed releases, including this NBA x Nike Dunk Low "Knicks" colorway. (Unofficially) honing in on the heavily-supported franchise that is the New York Knicks, the celebratory kicks come clad in the Knickerbockers' signature orange, blue and white, seen here linking with blacks and greys, too. The latter serves the upper layers, quarter overlays, and liners, while the team hues hover of the forefoot (orange) and Swoosh/heel combo (blue) before returning to black and white underfoot. Completing the design are special anniversary tongue tags and diamond-etched dubraes that serve as a nod to the celebratory event.

The Diamond x Dunk Low SB 'White' reunites the two brands responsible for one of the most coveted sneakers of the mid-2000s. This collaboration from November 2018 once again features the Dunk Low silhouette, done up in an all-white leather build with croc detailing borrowed from the original. A detachable metallic silver Swoosh reveals a Velcro layer underneath, finished in Diamond Supply's signature aqua hue. Of the three colorways (black, white, yellow), this white colorway was only available at core skate shops.

The Nike Dunk Low GS 'Jackie Robinson' celebrates the legacy of a true baseball icon. The release of the low-top coincides with the 75th anniversary of the breaking of baseball's color barrier, when Jackie Robinson made his major league debut with the Brooklyn Dodgers. The team's signature colors are reflected in the design of the low-top, featuring an off-white leather upper with royal blue overlays. The latter is covered in Jackie's inspirational quotes, while the signature Swoosh is rendered in fuzzy blue felt. Additional branding elements include 75th anniversary tongue tags and Jackie's jersey number stamped on the lateral heel.

The Nike Dunk Low GS 'God of Wealth' celebrates the lunar new year with a China-exclusive release made for big kids. Nodding to the year of the tiger, amber stripes are embroidered throughout the rear portion of the upper, which is lined in gold satin and built with a combination of grey and black suede. A matching black finish is applied to patterned brocade fabric used on the eyestay, Swoosh and heel overlay. Nike teamed up with UNheardof and Anonymous to release the SB Dunk Low 'Nasty Boys' in September 2015. Done up in the red and grey road colors of the Cincinnati Reds, the shoe pays tribute to the team's 'Nasty Boys' relief corps of Norm Charlton, Rob Dibble and Randy Myers, who were instrumental in the Reds' 1990 World Series championship over the Oakland A's. The Bay Area team received its own high-top Dunk to complete the thematic pack.

For the brand's traveling White Dunk Exhibition in 2003, Nike SB created extremely limited Dunk colorways for the tour's host cities. This pair pays tribute to Paris, featuring a tan suede base with canvas overlays printed with the artwork of French painter Bernard Buffet. In addition to a rumored production run limited to around 202 pairs, the 'Paris' Dunk is distinguished by the fact that no two pairs are exactly alike.

The Supreme x Nike Dunk Low OG SB QS 'Hyper Royal' takes direct inspiration from the New York skate brand's Dunk High collaboration from 2003. Like the high-top, this pair features a white leather base with metallic gold stars on the quarter panels and croc-embossed leather overlays in a contrasting hue. A standard Nike wordmark is embroidered in gold lettering on the heel tab, matching the woven tag atop the stuffed textile tongue. A gold Supreme dubrae shines at the bottom of the lace bed. Lightweight cushioning is provided by a Zoom Air-infused sockliner, its crimson surface embellished with dual Supreme and Nike SB branding.
