The Nike Air Force 1, celebrating its 40th year, was designed in 1982 and is one of the most successful and iconic shoes ever created. On the occasion of the Louis Vuitton Men's Spring-Summer 2022 runway show, Virgil Abloh collaborated with Nike to design 47 pairs of bespoke Air Force 1s, fusing the trainer's classic codes with the insignia and materials of Louis Vuitton in homage to the hip-hop culture that shaped him.

With the release of the Off-White x Air Jordan 2 Retro Low SP 'Black Varsity Royal', a relatively unheralded silhouette gets the Virgil Abloh treatment. The low-top carries a black leather upper with a tonal lizard-textured overlay and contrasting royal blue accents. They land on the molded heel panel, midfoot piping and exposed-foam tongue, featuring the Jordan Wings logo for an OG touch. Michael Jordan's signature is scrawled across the lateral side, while Abloh leaves his mark with a plastic zip tie, medial-side Helvetica text and 'SHOELACES' printed on the laces. Faux cracking on the midsole gives the shoe an aged, distressed aesthetic.

The Off-White x Air Jordan 2 Retro Low SP 'White Varsity Red' delivers Virgil Abloh's take on the retro silhouette originally released in 1986. This pair replicates the look of the OG 'White/Red' colorway, featuring a white leather upper with red piping and a matching red heel overlay. Abloh's signature touches are present and accounted for, including a plastic zip tie, Helvetica text on the medial side panel, and exposed foam on the collar and tongue. On the lateral side, Michael Jordan's signature is scrawled across a textured lizard-inspired overlay. The low-top is mounted on a pre-yellowed midsole with cracked sidewalls that simulate the sort of crumbling that commonly besets vintage sneakers.

Designed in partnership with the LA-based streetwear brand, the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Swarovski x Nike Dunk Low 'Pure Platinum' delivers an opulent take on the classic silhouette. Every inch of the suede upper is entirely covered in Swarovski crystals, including the detachable double lace flaps, heavily padded tongue and oversized Swoosh, the latter borrowed from CPFM's previous Nike Blazer collaboration from 2019.

To celebrate Virgil Abloh's appointment as creative director of Louis Vuitton, NYC-based artist Ceeze tapped Relevant Customs to create what the duo has dubbed the "OFF–LOUIS" Air Jordan 1s. The sneaker features Louis Vuitton's iconic monogram in the brand's signature tonal brown across its upper and is made using authentic LV leather. Detailing on the medial side is a nod to OFF–WHITE's original branding and exposed stitching, while "LOUIS" and "VUITTON" in quotation marks are featured on the midsole in place of the original "AIR" branding.
