Designed in collaboration with the mental-health initiative founded by Scottish skater John Rattray, the Why So Sad? x Nike Dunk Low SB 'The Predatory Bird' features a design theme centered around positivity and wellness. The Nike Dunk High SB 'Cali' is a high-top re-release of the 2004 Nike SB Dunk Low 'Cali' colorway. Inspired by the colors of the California state flag, the August 2014 release features a white leather upper with Pecan Brown on the quarter panel, a green midsole, red outsole, and stitched red star at the lateral side.

Inspired by the colors of the Aurora Borealis, the shoe features an inky black nubuck upper inspired by the night sky, dark grey suede overlays at the toe, and reflective starry detailing on the heel and Swoosh. It also features Hot Pink hits on the heel and lining and glow-in-the-dark Green Glow outsoles.
